His nonno got him a gameboy which he loves! And he got lots and lots of popsicles, puddings, etc. Saverio had to stay overnight as an extra precaution because he also had severe sleep apnea. And he said, "In the meantime, I hope you don't feed him hotdogs." It took 4 months to get the consultation and he was so concerned that he booked him for surgery within a few weeks. We went to see the specialist three weeks prior and he couldn't believe the size of his tonsils, he said they were the worst ever and we were lucky he hadn't choked or anything. Saverio got his tonsils and adenoids out on December 8th at East General Hospital. I can't believe how time flies! So much has happened, of course.
#Get me a juicebox biatch movie
I've watched this movie a few times and I never really got that Saverio would actually think his name was Biatch! So cute. And then.the boy says to his robot all cool, "hey Biatch, go get me a juicebox!" lol A bit into it he calls me in to see a good part in the movie where the boys robot appears. So his movie starts and he's watching it, I'm in the kitchen. So he repeats himself and says, "the one guy's name is Biatch." And I said, "That's a bad word." So as we're waiting for it to start he says, "what's the other guys name? that one is biatch but i can't remember the other one." I sort of chuckled and said, "what did you say?" I didn't even know what he was talking about, I thought he was just thinking about something else. Anyway, ironically I told him to stop watching music videos and watch a movie instead and he put Zathura on, it was already in the dvd player.

We did his new Zathura puzzle from one of his favourite movies of the same name and it's a picture of a robot and evil dinosaur, a Zorgon, fighting as they float around outer space. Yet for all those crazy effects and awesome plot, everything in the movie comes down to the relationship between two brothers.Saverio is home sick from school this afternoon.

You didn't have to say, "There are aliens, you're scared." They had guys in rubber Zorgon suits (enhanced with CGI) for the kids to act off of. This also helped with working with the child actors. It adds a lot to the realism of it, despite being such an absurd concept (it's literally "out there"). Since they hadn't shot anything after that, they were able to keep the take without messing up continuity. It was all shot mostly sequentially (which is rare for film) so that the damage done in each scene wouldn't have to be reset, allowing them more freedom for improvisation.įor instance, the guy in the robot suit at one point slips and knocks over a coffee table. They built the entire set on a rotating thingamabob so that when it passes through gravity fields they could literally tilt the house. Kid flies through the air for cheating? Put him on some pullies and throw him through the air (it was the kid actor's favorite scene). For the meteor shower, they hid little explosives in the floorboards. They used like 90% practical effects too. I guess it wasn't the most original concept in the world, but damn was it still a fun, suspenseful, imaginative movie. My movie loving self nowadays was shocked to realize all the familiar faces in that movie and was just happy to remember it existed. Josh Hutcherson, Kristin Stewart, Dax Sheppard, Tim Robbins (even though it's a small part). There was so much more about it I'd love to discuss with you all.īut also just the cast. I was so scared of that scene when I was a kid. Oh my God the elevator shaft scene when Danny the little brother has to get the fucking game from the Zorgon ship. I remember it being so suspenseful for my little 9 year old self. I bought the real life bored game and played that shit all the time hoping it would come to life.īut about the movie. I saw it when I was about 8 or 9 with my buddy, and we were obsessed with it for months. I was bored today and was looking through IMDB profiles, stumbled upon Jon Favreau, looked into his directing credits, and boom, there I saw it, Zathura, a freaking space adventure.
